Top 10 highest paid golfers on the PGA Tour in 2020-21

With 2021 coming to a close, it is time to take a look back at the top 10 highest paid golfers on the PGA Tour from the 2020-21 golf season. Please note the 2021-22 golf season has already started, and two players have reached the $2 million mark. Talor Gooch is at $2,293,294 and Hideki Matsuyama is at $2,045,423.
10) Abraham Ancer $5,816,565
Currently ranked 17th in the world, Mexico’s finest won the World Golf Championship-FedEx St. Jude Invitational in August in a playoff over Matsuyama and Sam Burns. He also finished second at the Wells Fargo Championship in May, where he placed only behind Rory McIlroy.
9) Cameron Smith–$5,851,867
Currently ranked 20th in the world, the Brisbane native had four top five finishes in 2021. His best result was a second place at the Northern Trust, where he lost to Tony Finau in a playoff.
8) Harris English–$6,200,481
Currently ranked 13th in the world, English won twice in 2021. He opened the year with a victory at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii (received entrance despite not winning on the PGA Tour in 202o) and then also won the Travelers Championship in June. English’s win at the Travelers was the second longest playoff in PGA history as it went eight holes.
7) Louis Oosthuizen–$6,306,679
The 10th ranked player in the world did not record a victory in 2021, but had two top-two finishes in majors. The South African finished second behind Phil Mickelson at the PGA Championship and then behind Jon Rahm at the U.S. Open.
6) Jordan Spieth–$6,470,482
The three-time major champion who is currently 14th in the world, won in his home state of Texas in 2021 when he won the Valero Texas Open. He continued that momentum with a third place finish at the Masters and a second place at the British Open.

5) Justin Thomas–$6,537.153
The sixth-ranked player in the world won the prestigious Players Championship in Florida in March. By winning at TPC Sawgrass, Thomas won over 40% of his 2021 earnings from this tournament alone, as he won $2.7 million.
4) Collin Morikawa–$7,059,908
The native of Los Angeles, who is ranked second in the world, won his second career major in 2021 when he won the 2021 British Open. In 2021, Morikawa also won the WGC Workday Championship, and the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.
3) Bryson DeChambeau–$7.426,415
The native of Modesto, California, who is ranked seventh in the world, won the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March. DeChambeau was known throughout the entire event for his monster drives where he shot the golf ball over a large lake on the sixth hole.
2) Patrick Cantlay–$7,638,805
The FedEx Cup champion for 2021 is currently fourth in the world. The native of Long Beach, California had two victories in 2021. The first came at the Memorial, when he had the fortunate fate of winning after Jon Rahm pulled out after round three with a positive coronavirus test result, and the second title came at the BMW Championship, which was part of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
1) Jon Rahm–$7,705,933
The world number one also earned the most money by $67,128 in 2020-21. The native of Barrika, Spain won the 2021 U.S. Open for his first career major this year. Rahm also had a remarkable 14 top-10 finishes, as he displayed flawless consistency on a weekly basis.
