2025 Philadelphia Eagles Projected Finish, Key Signings & Fantasy Stars

In the 25th of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Philadelphia Eagles.

Key Off-Season Acquisitions

The Eagles acquired five players in trades in the offseason. They were quarterbacks Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Sam Howell, wide receiver John Metchie III, cornerback Jakorian Bennett of Mobile, Alabama, and guard Kenyon Green.

Howell of Waynesville, North Carolina was traded from the Minnesota Vikings to the Eagles on Sunday. The Eagles also received a sixth round draft pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, while the Vikings got a fifth round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Howell was already traded in the offseason by Seattle to Minnesota. He previously played two seasons in Washington (2022 and 2023), and one season in Seattle (2024). Last season, Howell completed five passes in 14 attempts for 24 passing yards, and had one rush for two yards while backing up Geno Smith.

Thompson-Robinson of Columbia, South Carolina was traded from the Cleveland Browns with a fifth round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to the Eagles for quarterback Kenny Pickett of Oakhurst, New Jersey. Thompson-Robinson was with the Browns the last two years. In 2024, he completed 61 of 118 passes for 440 passing yards and six interceptions. Thompson-Robinson also had 21 rushes for 122 rushing yards.

Metchie III of Brampton, Ontario was traded from the Houston Texans to the Eagles with a sixth round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft for tight end Harrison Bryant and a fifth round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. In 2024, he had 24 catches for 254 receiving yards and one touchdown catch.

Bennett of Mobile, Alabama was traded from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Eagles for defensive tackle Thomas Booker IV of Ellicott City, Maryland. Bennett has spent the last two seasons with the Raiders. He has 26 combined tackles (15 solo tackles and 11 assisted tackles), and eight pass deflections. In two seasons, Bennett has 58 combined tackles (39 solo tackles and 19 assisted tackles), and eight pass deflections.

Green of Humble, Texas was traded from the Texans to the Eagles with a sixth round draft pick in the 2026 NFL Draft for safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson of Cocoa, Florida with a sixth draft pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Green played the 2022 and 2024 NFL seasons with the Texans, but missed the 2023 NFL season with a shoulder injury.

Fantasy Stars

Quarterback Jalen Hurts of Houston, Texas is ranked ninth at his position in fantasy football. He completed 248 passes in 361 attempts for 2903 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions in 2024. Hurts also had 150 rushes for 630 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns.

Running back Saquon Barkley of the Bronx, New York is ranked first at his position. He led the NFL last season in rushing yards (2005). Barkley also had 13 rushing touchdowns, and had 33 catches for 278 receiving yards and two touchdown catches. Barkley’s first touchdown catch was for 18 yards from Hurts and was Philadelphia’s first touchdown of the season in a 34-29 Eagles win over the Green Bay Packers on September 6. Barkley then had a 20 yard touchdown catch from Hurts to open the scoring in a 28-23 Eagles win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on November 3.

On defense, the Eagles are ranked eighth. However, they did have the fewest points against last season (297) in the entire NFL.

Projected Finish

The Eagles won the Super Bowl last season. They defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22. They are the best team in the NFC East again in 2025 and will be a Super Bowl contender as the calendar changes into 2026.
