Six of the eight first round matches are complete. However on Saturday there are two more game sixes. I am projecting there will be one game seven over the weekend. Here is why I am predicting the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors to win tonight.
Sacramento Kings @ Golden State Warriors–8 PM ET
The Warriors lead the best out of seven series three games to two.
My Take:
An early 5 pm start on the west coast, sees the two Bay Area clubs in the National Basketball Association battle it out. The pressure appears to be on the Sacramento Kings at this time, as they are the higher seed and facing elimination after a 123-116 loss in game five. One could argue that there is equal pressure for the Warriors too. They are the defending champs and were much better at home (33-8) than they were on the road (11-30) during ther regular season. Statistically, the best chance the Warriors have of winning this series is a W tonight. Take the Warriors at -7.5 and the under at 234.5. Due to the tension of the game being an elimination contest, there is a strong possibility that there will be a significant number of low percentage shots attempted on both sides. Memphis Grizzlies @ Los Angeles Lakers–10:30 PM ET
The Lakers have their second chance to close out the series in game six tonight. Los Angeles leads three games to two.
My Take:
Los Angeles was leading 3-1 heading into game five, but came away with their worst game of the series, as they lost 116-99. It was an excellent first quarter for Memphis, as they outscored Los Angeles 38-24. The Grizzlies star on Wednesday was shooting guard Desmond Bane of Richmond, Indiana. He had a game-high 33 points, and was one of three Grizzlies players to have 10 rebounds. The others were Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. Bane was also a workhorse as he played 43 minutes. Take the Grizzlies at +4.5, as they have the momentum at this time. Due to the fact the Lakers only scored 99 game five points, take the under at 218.5 points.
