Keller is joining his fifth MLB team after six seasons with the Kansas City Royals (2018 to 2023), sharing 2024 with the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox and playing the 2025 season with the Chicago Cubs.

He previously pitched three seasons with the Colorado Rockies (2011 to 2013), two seasons with the Oakland Athletics (2014 and 2015), one season with the San Diego Padres (2016), three seasons with the Boston Red Sox (2016 to 2018), shared the 2019 season between the San Francisco Giants and Milwaukee Brewers, two seasons with the San Diego Padres (2020 and 2021), and one season with the Chicago Cubs (2025). In 2025 with the Yankees, Weaver had a record of four wins and four losses with an earned run average of 3.62. In 64 games and 64 2/3 innings pitched, he had eight saves, 21 holds, 72 strikeouts, and gave up 46 hits, 26 earned runs, 10 home runs, and 20 walks, to go along with  a WHIP of 1.02.
