Russell Henley of Macon, Georgia won the 2026 Charles Schwab Challenge at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. Henley defeated Eric Cole of Palm Springs, California in a playoff.

Henley and Cole both had scores of -12 after 72 holes. In the first playoff hole, Henley had a birdie on the playoff hole, while Cole had a score of par. Henley and Cole played the 18th hole as part of the playoff on Sunday.

Over the weekend, Henley had a first round score of four-under-par 66, a second round score of four-under-par 66, a third round score of one-under-par 69, and a fourth round round score of three-under-par 67. Henley’s most notable shot was an eagle on the par-five first hole in the fourth round. Henley had a tee shot of 312 yards, approach shot of 266 yards, and then a putt of 20 feet and one inch into the hole.

There were 10 more golfers in contention. Americans Ben Griffin of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Alex Smalley of Rochester, New York and Mac Meissner of Charleston, South Carolina were tied for third place and one stroke back at -11. American United States Open champions Gary Woodland of Topeka, Kansas, and J.J. Spaun of Los Angeles, California, as well as Michael Brennan of Leesburg, Virginia, and Colombia’s Nico Echavarria were tied for sixth place and two strokes back at -10. Americans Ryan Gerard of Raleigh, North Carolina and Steven Fisk of Atlanta, Georgia, as well as Canadian Mackenzie Hughes of Hamilton, Ontario, were tied for 10th place and three strokes back. Woodland won the 2019 United States Open, and Spaun won the 2025 United States Open.

This was Henley’s sixth win on the PGA Tour. He previously won the 2013 Sony Open in Honolulu, the 2014 Honda Classic in a four-man playoff, the 2017 Shell Houston Open, the 2022 World Wide Technology Championship in Mexico, and the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
