In a race that doesn’t appear to have too much speed on paper, It’s easy to see him settle just off the speed and peeling out wide to the better part of the heavy track and being very hard to beat. He’s one from one on the heavy and Maher & Eustace have a great record when bringing these stayers up from Melbourne.

This Dundeel loooks suited by a heavy track 3rd up from a spell over 1400m. Last start at Canterbury he looked a run short when he camped just off the speed, hit the front only to be nailed on the post. He should improve off that run and barrier 12 should be a positive on this heavy track.
