Week 15 of the 2025 National Football League regular season is now complete. Here are the top five rookies on winning teams.
5) Jawhar Jordan
The Houston Texans’s sixth round pick out of Louisville, made his NFL debut on Sunday and was exceptional. He had 15 rushes for 101 rushing yards and two catches for 17 yards in a 40-20 Texans win over the Arizona Cardinals. With the victory, Houston improved to a record of nine wins and five losses.
4) Charlie Smyth
The New Orleans Saints rookie kicker from Newry, Northern Ireland made field goals from 42 and 47 yards on Sunday in a 20-17 Saints win over the Panthers. Smyth, who also had two converts, had the game-winning field goal with two seconds left in the game.
3) Harrison Mevis
Another kicker made our top five this week. Harrison Mevis of Warsaw, Indiana made field goals of 37 and 44 yards and five converts in a 41-34 Rams win over the Detroit Lions. With the victory, the Rams improved to a record of 11 wins and three losses and are the top team in the NFC.
2) Jacory Croskey-Merritt
The Washington Commanders rookie running back from Montgomery, Alabama had 18 rushes for 96 rushing yards and one touchdown in a 29-21 Commanders win over the New York Giants. Croskey-Merritt’s touchdown was 16 yards at 1:22 of the second quarter and put the Commanders up 10-0.
1) Tyler Shough
For the second straight week, Tyler Shough of Chandler, Arizona is number one on the list among rookies. After beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-20 last week, Shough completed 24 of 32 passes for 272 passing yards and one touchdown, along with eight rushes for 32 rushing yards in the Saints win over the Panthers. Shough’s touchdown pass was 12 yards to Chris Olave of San Ysidro, California with two minutes and 29 seconds left in the fourth quarter and tied the game at 17 at the time.
