The Edge NSW: Tuesday 5/10 – NSW Provincial & Country Service

We head to a wet Goulburn on Tuesday for an 8 race card. We’ve found some value in 3 races.

Goulburn Race 5
3u Festival Dancer $2.7

She stepped out to the 1400 two starts back. She finished 2nd 0.4L at Nowra, with some solid late splits. She then backed up that effort last start at Nowra finishing 3rd 2.4L again running solid late splits on the back of a genuine tempo. She steps out to the mile here which should really suit. She can press forward from the wide gate to find a spot off the speed.

Goulburn Race 7
0.3u Deviate $20

Comes in under notice on the back of a solid win last start. She joined the Murray stable this prep and has been running better since. Last start she got the blinkers back on, first time for her current stable, and improved her ratings a couple lengths. She also bumped a rival at the jump and lost a couple lengths. She wanted to press forward so could maybe land in a nice spot. Stable and Jockey both going great.

Goulburn Race 8
2u Role Play $3.5

We found her last start and she won in brilliant style. Has put up two excellent wins in her last 2 starts. Chasing the hat-trick and finds a suitable race to do it. Last start, 1st 0.1L at Nowra over 1400, on the back of a walking speed and she was the only one who came off the speed. 2 back 1st 1L at Nowra over 1400, hit the line well again behind a pretty slow speed. Relishes the wet and finds a race where they should roll along in front.

Update
We liked Aidenabet at the price before scratchings as a bet around the favourite. Now that he’s been scratched we aren’t keen at the current quote.
Over the past couple days we have found wet tracks. We don’t like to stake a lot on wet tracks on the back of racing on dry tracks for the past couple weeks.
We are up 8 units over the last week with 4 units profit on Sunday.
