1.25u Miles Ahead $4.6

Resumed for the new stable with a luckless 5th 1.6L at Ballina, unwanted in betting $3-$9. He ran some good late splits despite being held up and untested. Will enjoy the step out to the 1400 here with more speed. He recored good figures over this trip and the mile in his first prep. Relishes the sting out. Expect to be closer from the soft draw.

2.5u Rose Bouquet $3.1

Looks a very competitive field here with about five runners having recently put up ratings to win this class. Have landed on Rose Bouquet who is flying at the moment. She ran a competitive 2nd 1.5L to Franklin Corners at Lismore last start over 1310 recording some excellent figures on the back of a red hot speed (Franklin Corners has since come out and won well against his own gender and up in the weights) She handles the wet and that gives her an edge here. Kirk Matheson in the saddle and has won on her prior. Soft map behind a good speed from barrier 2.
