One of the biggest stories in the LPGA season is the fact that the first major of the year has moved from California to Texas. On Thursday, the first round of the 2023 Chevron Championship took place. The leader is Peiyun Chien of Chinese Taipei, who shot a first round score of -5.
Chien had six birdies and one bogey. She birdied the fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth, 17th and 18th holes, after bogeying the first hole.
