Scottie Scheffler (YouTube)
The world golf scene will be focused on Louisville, Kentucky, specifically the Valhalla Golf Club  starting Thursday as the 106th PGA Championship takes place. There is a lot of attention as we will see the best golfers on the PGA Tour and LIV. Here are the three golfers we like the most.
Scottie Scheffler
The world number one needs to be considered the outright favourite to win his third major of his career and second major of the season. The 27-year-old from Ridgewood, New Jersey has previously won the 2022 and 2024 Masters. In 2024, Scheffler has already won three other PGA events this year. They are the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Players Championship, and RBC Heritage.

Rory McIlroy
The world number two from Holywood, Northern Ireland is a four-time major champion. He picked up the W at the 2012 and 2014 PGA Championship, 2011 United States Open and 2014 British Open. When McIlroy won the PGA Championship a decade ago, it happened to be at Valhalla. At the time he shot a four-round score of -16 and beat Phil Mickelson by a stroke. Then just last week, McIlroy continued his excellence at the Wells Fargo Championship in North Carolina, with another win there.

Xander Schauffele
The world number three from San Diego, California has simply been ultra consistent. Even though he has not won a PGA tournament this year, Schauffele has not missed the cut either. Along the way he has had eight top 10 performances and was second behind McIlroy just last week.
