Our three best tips for the 2023 3M Open
July 27, 2023
The 3M Open takes place in Minneapolis, Minnesota starting Thursday. Like we did a year ago, we have decided not to choose golfers who competed at the British Open, as they have the six hour time difference to deal with. Here are the three golfers we like the most.
Ludvig Aberg
Throw Ludvig Aberg’s official world ranking of 302nd out the window. The native of Eslov, Sweden is one of golf’s rising stars. The two-time Swedish Golf Tour champion had six amateur wins and was ranked first in the National Collegiate Athletic Association rankings while attending Texas Tech. In his 11 PGA events as a rookie, Aberg has made the cut eight times. His best result was a fourth place at the John Deere Classic.

Cam Davis
The native of Sydney, Australia has one PGA Tour title to his resume. He was victorious at the 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic where he beat Chile’s Joaquin Niemann and American Troy Merritt in a playoff. Davis has three top 10 finishes in 2023. He was fourth at the PGA Championship, sixth at the Players Championship, and seventh at the RBC Heritage.

Adam Hadwin
The native of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada also has one PGA Tour title to his name as he won the 2017 Valspar Championship in Florida. Earlier this year, Hadwin was in a playoff at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, but lost to American Rickie Fowler.
