Stephen Curry has a three-point surge for the ages
April 22, 2021

The 2020-21 NBA season seems to be the year of three-point shooting. So far this season, we have seen the Atlanta Hawks setting the NBA record for most three-point shots made without a miss in a single quarter (11), the Utah Jazz setting the NBA record for most three-pointers made in the first half (18), and the Milwaukee Bucks setting the NBA record for most three-pointers made in a single game (29). However, what we have seen this month from Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is simply off the charts.
In the last five games, Curry has made 46 three-pointers. No one in NBA history, has made more three-pointers in a five-game stretch according to Brad Botkin of CBS Sports.
Curry also has reached double-digits in a game when it comes to three-point shots made six times in 2020-21. To put this into perspective, no other player has made 10 or more three-pointers in a game more than five times in their career. Curry has had 21 regular season games in his career with a minimum of 10 three-point shots made.

Over the last 11 games, Curry has made 78 three-point shots, and now has made 260 this season. Buddy Hield of the Sacramento Kings is second on the list with 225 three-point shots made.
Curry also leads the NBA in scoring with 1570 points. Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets is second with 1506 points. Curry also leads the NBA with 31.4 points per game. Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards is second on the list with 31.1 points per game. Interestingly, Curry and the Warriors play Beal and the Wizards on Wednesday night.
