Raiders trade tight end Darren Waller to the Giants

                                        									According to Caio Miari of The Score on Tuesday, the New York Giants have acquired tight end Darren Waller from the Las Vegas Raiders for a third round pick in the 2023 National Football League Draft. It was one of three notable NFL trades over the last 24 hours. On Monday, the New England Patriots traded tight end Jonnu Smith to the Atlanta Falcons for a seventh round draft pick in the 2023 NFL Draft according to Tyler Greenawalt of Yahoo! Sports. On Tuesday, the Indianapolis Colts traded cornerback Stephon Gilmore to the Dallas Cowboys for a fifth round compensatory pick in the 2023 NFL Draft according to Wendi Oliveros of The Sports Daily.
Waller of Landover, Maryland, is joining his third NFL franchise after two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens (2015 and 2016), and five seasons with the Oakland Raiders (2018 to 2022). In 2022, he had 28 catches for 388 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Waller was a Pro Bowler in 2020. That year he had 107 catches for 1196 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Smith of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is joining his third NFL franchise after four seasons with the Tennessee Titans (2017 to 2020) and two seasons with the New England Patriots (2021 and 2022). This past season he had 27 catches for 245 yards.
Gilmore of Rock Hill, South Carolina is joining his fifth NFL franchise following five seasons with the Buffalo Bills (2012 to 2016), four seasons with the New England (2017 to 2020), and one season each with the Carolina Panthers (2021) and Indianapolis Colts (2022). Gilmore is a five-time Pro Bowler (2016, 2018 to 2021), and Super Bowl champion. This past season with the Colts, he had 66 combined tackles (53 solo tackles and 13 assisted tackles), two interceptions for 31 yards and 11 pass deflections.
