Wednesday Victorian Racing heads to Sandown where the Lakeside track is set to host a rare 7 race midweek meeting!
The track is currently rated a Heavy 9. Victorians are set for a freezing day with tops of 13 degrees! There’s more rain on the forecast with another 5-10mm to drop across the day. Conditions will be extremely tough for horses and riders.
The rail is out 6m for today’s meeting. When the rail is out on the Lakeside track the most profitable play is to back runners who can settle in the top 4 in running. In the past, when rain has hit on race day it has been extremely difficult to run down breakaway leaders.
