Frank Gore to fight Deron Williams on December 18 in Tampa

There are not many times you get to see a three-time NBA All-Star point guard actually fight a five-time NFL Pro Bowl running back. However. that is what will happen on December 18 from Tampa, Florida. Boxing fans will have the opportunity to witness an undercard fight between Frank Gore and Deron Williams.
Gore spent 16 seasons in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and New York Jets from 2005 to 2020. In 241 games, he had 3735 rushes for exactly 16000 yards and 81 rushing touchdowns. Gore also had 484 catches for 3985 yards and 18 receiving touchdowns.
When you think of the best running backs in NFL history, you do not always think of Gore. Yet, he is third all-time in rushing yards. The only running backs with more rushing yards are Emmitt Smith (18355 yards), and Walter Payton (16726 yards).

Gore was selected to the Pro Bowl five times with the 49ers–in 2006, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013. His best season came in 2006 when he had a career- high 1695 rushing yards in San Francisco.
Williams averaged 16.3 points per game and 8.1 assists per game over 12 seasons in the NBA from 2005 to 2017. He represented the Utah Jazz at the 2010 and 2011 NBA All-Star Game, and then the New Jersey Nets at the 2012 NBA All-Star Game.
Williams is 37 years old and is from Parkersburg, West Virginia. Gore is 38 years old, and is from Coral Gables, Florida.
The primary fight of the evening will see American Jake Paul battle British boxer Tommy Fury in a cruiserweight battle. If the last name of Fury sounds familiar, it should. Tommy Fury is the half-brother of heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury.
