World number one Nelly Korda of Bradenton, Florida and world number 11 Sei-young Kim of Seoul, South Korea are the leaders after 54 holes at the 2026 United States Women’s Open from the Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, California. Korda and Kim are both at -6.

Korda actually got off to a slow start to her week as she had a first round score of two-over-par. On Thursday, she had four bogeys and two birdies. Korda bogeyed the third, seventh, 12th and 13th holes, and birdied the first and 11th holes. On Friday, Korda had a second round score of four-under-par 67. She had five birdies and one bogey. Korda birdied the first, seventh, ninth, 11th and 17th holes, and bogeyed the 12th hole. On Saturday, Korda had a third round score of four-under-par 67 again. She had five birdies and one bogey for the second straight round. Korda birdied the third, sixth, 16th, 17th and 18th holes, and bogeyed the eighth hole.

Kim had a first round score of four-under-par 67, a second round score of one-over-par 72 and a third round score of three-under-par 68. On Thursday, she had five birdies and one bogey. Kim birdied the sixth, seventh, eighth, 10th and 11th holes, and bogeyed the fourth hole. On Friday, she had two birdies and three bogeys. Kim birdied the first and 10th holes, and bogeyed the second, 14th and 18th holes. On Saturday, she had five birdies and two bogeys. Kim birdied the fifth, sixth, 10th, 12th, and 17th holes, and bogeyed the eighth and 15th holes.

Korda and Kim are both major champions. Korda won the 2021 Women’s PGA Championship, and the 2024 and 2026 Chevron Championship. Kim won the 2020 Women’s PGA Championship.

In Gee Chun of South Korea and Jennifer Kupcho of Littleton, Colorado are one stroke back at -5. Chun and Kupcho are major champions. Chun won the 2015 United States Women’s Open champion, 2016 Evian Championship and the 2022 Women’s PGA Championship. Kupcho won the 2022 Chevron Championship.

Three golfers are at -4 and two strokes back and in fifth place. They are Nasa Hataoka of Japan, Gaby Lopez of Mexico City, Mexico, and 2023 Women’s PGA Championship winner Ruoning Yin of Kunming, China.

Three more golfers are at -3 and three strokes back and in eighth place. They are Alison Lee of Los Angeles, California, Hyun-jo Yoo of South Korea and Charley Hull of Kettering, England.
