Bills bring back cornerback Tre’Davious White for a second time

The Buffalo Bills are bringing back cornerback Tre’Davious White of Shreveport, Louisiana. According to Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN on Thursday, the terms of the deal are one year and worth $6.8 million.
White initially played seven seasons with the Buffalo Bills from 2017 to 2023. He then shared the 2024 season with the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens. White was traded from the Rams to the Ravens with a seventh round pick in the 2027 National Football League Draft for a seventh round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. In 11 games throughout the season, White had 22 combined tackles (16 solo tackles and six assisted tackles), and five pass deflections.
In seven seasons with the Bills, White played 82 games. He had 311 combined tackles (242 solo tackles and 69 assisted tackles), 12 tackles for a loss, six quarterback hits, 18 interceptions for 210 yards, 68 pass deflections, five forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries for 51 yards, one fumble recovery for a touchdown and three sacks. The fumble recovery for a touchdown was for 52 yards and came in a 23-17 Bills win over the Atlanta Falcons on October 1, 2017.
Twice in his career White has been selected to the Pro Bowl. The first time in 2019 and the second time in 2020.
In 2019, White had 58 combined tackles (48 solo tackles and 10 assisted tackles), four tackles for a loss, one quarterback hit, a NFL high six interceptions, 57 yards from interceptions, 17 pass deflections, two forced fumbles and one sack. The sack and quarterback hit came in a 24-9 Bills win over the Washington Redskins on November 3, 2019.
In 2020, White had 57 combined tackles (44 solo tackles and 13 assisted tackles), two tackles for a loss, three forced fumbles, three interceptions for 28 yards, 11 pass deflections, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries for -1 yards, and 1.5 sacks. The two tackles for a loss, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and 1.5 sacks came in Bills’s wins. The first fumble recovery came on September 27, 2020 in a 35-32 Bills win over the Los Angeles Rams. A half a sack came on October 25, 2020 in an 18-10 Bills win over the New York Jets. The second fumble recovery and first tackle for a loss came on November 8, 2020 in a 44-34 Bills win over the Seattle Seahawks. One sack, one tackle for a loss, and one forced fumble came in a 48-19 Bills win over the Denver Broncos on December 19, 2020.
