In the 20th of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Miami Dolphins.
Key Off Season Acquisitions
The Miami Dolphins have two new notable players on offense for the 2026 National Football League regular season. They are quarterback Malik Willis of College Park, Georgia, and guard Caedan Wallace of Robbinsville Township, New Jersey.
Willis became one of the richest quarterbacks in the offseason as he signed a three-year deal worth $67.5 million on March 12. He is joining his third NFL team after two seasons each with the Tennessee Titans (2022 and 2023) and Green Bay Packers (2024 and 2025). Last season for the Packers, Willis completed 30 of 35 passes for 422 passing yards and three touchdowns, along with 22 rushes for 123 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. This past season, Willis was the backup in Green Bay to Jordan Love. Now in south Florida, Willis takes over from Tua Tagovailoa as Miami’s number one.
Wallace was traded from the New England Patriots to the Dolphins with a seventh round pick in the 2029 NFL Draft for a sixth round pick in the 2028 NFL Draft. He was with the Patriots the last two seasons.
Miami also has a new head coach. Jeff Hafley of Montvale, New Jersey takes over from Mike McDaniel. Like Willis, Hafley has a Packers connection as he was the Green Bay defensive coordinator the last two seasons.
Fantasy Star
De’Von Achane of Missouri City, Texas is 10th among running backs in fantasy football. In 2025, he had 238 rushes for 1350 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns, along with 67 catches for 488 receiving yards and four touchdown catches.
Projected Finish
The Dolphins are one of the worst teams in the NFL heading into the season. The question is are they good enough to get past the New York Jets and into third place in the AFC East? Probably not.
