Transactions are continuing in the 2026 MLB offseason. Over the last 48 hours, three pitchers switched teams. On Thursday, the Minnesota Twins signed All-Star pitcher Taylor Rogers of Denver, Colorado to a one-year deal worth $2 million, and the Texas Rangers acquired starting pitcher MacKenzie Gore of Wilmington, North Carolina from the Washington Nationals for five prospects. Then on Friday, the Chicago White Sox signed relief pitcher Seranthony Dominguez of Esperanza, Dominican Republic to a two-year deal worth $20 million.
Taylor Rogers is the twin brother of Tyler Rogers, who signed in the offseason with the Toronto Blue Jays. Taylor Rogers is joining his seventh Major League Baseball team after six seasons with the Minnesota Twins, sharing the 2022 season with the San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers, the 2023 and 2024 seasons with the San Francisco Giants and the 2025 seasons with the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs. In 2025, Taylor Rogers pitched in 57 games, and had a record of three wins and two losses with an earned run average of 3.38. He was an American League All-Star with the Twins in 2021.
Gore was also an All-Star once in his MLB career. He was honoured last season with the Nationals even though he only had a record of five wins, and 10 losses with an earned run average of 4.17, a poor WHIP of 1.35. Control has been a problem for Gore. He led the Major Leagues with 14 wild pitches in 2024 and 12 wild pitches in 2025.
Dominguez is joining his fourth MLB team after six seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies, two seasons with the Baltimore Orioles and one season with the Blue Jays. Last year in 67 games, Dominguez had a record of four wins, four losses, an earned run average of 3.16, two saves and a WHIP of 1.28.
