Top five headlines from Week 10 of 2024 NFL season

The tenth week of the 2024 National Football League regular season is now finished. Here are the top five headlines.

5) Carolina Panthers win in Germany.

For the first time in two years, the Carolina Panthers have won two games in a row. On Sunday in Munich, Germany, the Panthers defeated the New York Giants 20-17 on a game-winning field goal in overtime by Panthers kicker Eddy Pineiro of Miami, Florida. Pineiro’s kick was 36 yards. After a disastrous start, where they won one of their first eight games, the Panthers have looked very good in wins over the New Orleans Saints and Giants.

4) Five Upsets.

The underdogs that came through with week 10 wins were the Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins. In picking week 10 upsets on Thursday, I successfully picked the Steelers to beat he Washington Commanders and the Dolphins to beat the Los Angles Rams.

3) Mike Williams records first touchdown with the Steelers.

The wide receiver from Holly Hill, South Carolina was traded from the New York Jets to the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 5. On Sunday, Williams had his first touchdown catch with the Steelers. It was the game-winning touchdown in a 28-27 Steelers win over the Washington Commanders. Williams’s touchdown catch was 28 yards from Russell Wilson with two minutes and 22 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

2) Cardinals are remarkably leading the NFC West.

In our preseason preview, I predicted the Arizona Cardinals to finish last in the NFC West. After 10 weeks, they are first in the division at six wins and four losses. On Sunday, the Cardinals had one of their most dominant wins of the season as they clobbered the New York Jets 31-6.

1) Chiefs win in dramatic style.

The Kansas City Chiefs remain the only team undefeated in the National Football League at nine wins and zero losses. On Sunday, they beat the Denver Broncos 16-14 in a remarkable finish. The Broncos were attempting a game-winning field goal for 35 yards, when it was blocked by Chiefs linebacker and unknown special teams player Leo Chenal of Grantsburg, Wisconsin.
