Nine players traded at the 2024 NFL Trade Deadline

The 2024 National Football League trade deadline took place on Tuesday. Here are nine players who were traded.
Baron Browning
The linebacker from Fort Worth, Texas was traded from the Denver Broncos to the Arizona Cardinals for a sixth round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. In five games this season, Browning had seven combined tackles (one solo tackle and six assisted tackles) and one tackle for a loss. The Cardinals and Broncos both have identical records of five wins and four losses. The difference? The Cardinals lead their division.
Khalil Davis
The defensive tackle from Blue Springs, Missouri was traded from the Houston Texans to the San Francisco 49ers for a seventh round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The 49ers are Davis’s fourth NFL team following one season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, one season with the Indianapolis Colts in 2021, and the last two seasons with the Texans. In nine games this season, Davis has nine combined tackles (six solo tackles and three assisted tackles), four tackles  for a loss, two quarterback hits and one sack. One quarterback hit and sack came in a 23-20 Texans win over the Buffalo Bills on October 6. The other quarterback hit came in a 41-21 Texans win over the New England Patriots on October 13.
Khalil Herbert
A second Khalil was traded, as running back Khalil Herbert of Fort Lauderdale, Florida was traded from the Chicago Bears to the Cincinnati Bengals for a seventh round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. In 2024, Herbert only had eight rushes for 16 rushing yards and one touchdown, and two catches for four receiving yards. Herbert was clearly behind D’Andre Swift on the Bears depth chart this season, after getting a total of 1775 rushing yards for the Bears over the last three seasons combined.
Marshon Lattimore
The cornerback from Cleveland, Ohio was traded from the New Orleans Saints to the Washington Commanders with a fifth round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft for a third, fourth, and sixth round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. In 2024, Lattimore has 30 combined tackles (22 solo tackles and eight assisted tackles), and two pass deflections. A four time Pro Bowler (2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021), Lattimore was the Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2017, and led the NFL with 91 fumble recovery yards in 2018. He goes from a team that was two and seven to a team that is seven and two.
Jonathan Mingo
The wide receiver from Brandon, Mississippi was traded from the Carolina Panthers to the Dallas Cowboys with a seventh round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft for a fourth round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Mingo had 12 catches for 121 yards, and two rushes for five yards in 2024 with Carolina.
Preston Smith
The defensive end from Atlanta, Georgia was traded from the Green Bay Packers to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a seventh round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Steelers are the third NFL team Smith has played for. He was previously with the Washington Commanders for four seasons from 2015 to 2018, and the Green Bay Packers for six seasons from 2019 to 2024. In 2024, Smith has 19 combined tackles (six solo tackles and 13 assisted tackles), two quarterback hits, four tackles for a loss, and two and a half sacks. The two quarterback hits came in a 30-14 Packers win over the Tennessee Titans on September 22. The Steelers lead the AFC North at six wins and two losses.
Za’Darius Smith
The defensive end from Montgomery, Alabama was traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Detroit Lions with a seventh round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft for a fifth round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and a sixth round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Smith is joining his fifth NFL team. He was previously with the Baltimore Ravens for four years from 2015 to 2018, the Green Bay Packers for three years from 2019 to 2021, the Minnesota Vikings for one season in 2022, and the Cleveland Browns for two seasons from 2023 to 2024. This season in Cleveland, Smith had 23 combined tackles (15 solo tackles and eight assisted tackles), six tackles for a loss and seven quarterback hits. Smith was selected to the Pro Bowl while with the Packers in 2019 and 2020, and the Vikings in 2022.
Tre’Davious White
The cornerback from Shreveport, Louisiana was traded from the Los Angeles Rams to the Baltimore Ravens with a seventh round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft for a seventh round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. White is joining his third NFL team. He previously played eight seasons with the Buffalo Bills from 2017 to 2023, and the 2024 season with the Los Angeles Rams. In 2024, White has 12 combined tackles (nine solo tackles and three assisted tackles) and two pass deflections. He was selected to the Pro Bowl while with the Bills in 2019 an 2020.
Mike Williams
The wide receiver from Holly Hill, South Carolina was traded from the New York Jets to the Steelers for a fifth round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Williams is joining his third NFL team. He was with the Los Angeles Chargers for seven seasons from 2017 to 2023, and one season with the Jets in 2024. This season, he caught 12 passes for 166 receiving yards.
