The third round has been decided at 2026 Wimbledon. Here are the top eight matches to be played in the fourth round.
(1) Aryna Sabalenka–BLR vs. (14) Naomi Osaka–JPN
This is the biggest heavyweight battle at Wimbledon so far. Sabalenka and Osaka have won four grand slam singles titles each in their careers. Sabalenka won the 2023 and 2024 Australian Open, and the 2024 and 2025 United States Open. Osaka won the 2018 and 2020 United States Open, and 2019 and 2021 Australian Open. Sabalenka has won three of four matches in their careers head-to-head, including three wins in 2026. They came at the fourth round of Indian Wells (6-2, 6-4), fourth round at Madrid (6-7, 6-3, 6-2) and fourth round at the French Open (7-5, 6-3).
(2) Alexander Zverev–GER vs. (11) Jiri Lehecka–CZE
Zverev won the 2026 French Open. Lehecka reached the quarterfinals of the 2025 United States Open. Zverev and Lehecka have beaten each other once. Lehecka won 6-4, 6-2 in the round robin of the 2023 United Cup in Australia. Zverev won 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the first round of Dubai in 2023.
(3) Felix Auger-Aliassime–CAN vs. (22) Alejandro Davidovich Fokina–ESP
Auger-Aliassime is a two grand slam semifinalist (2021 and 2025 United States Open). Davidovich Fokina won Mallorca, where he beat American Ethan Quinn, 7-6, 6-3 in the final, leading up to Wimbledon. Head-to-head, Auger-Aiassime has won three of four matches.
5) Alex De Minaur–AUS vs. (9) Flavio Cobolli–ITA
Alex De Minaur is a seven-time grand slam quarterfinalist and is facing Cobolli, the 2026 French Open finalist. De Minaur won their two prior matches in 2024. The first was in the third round of the Australian Open, and the second was in the second round of Vienna.
(6) Taylor Fritz–USA vs. (10) Alexander Bublik–KAZ
Fritz reached the semifinals of the 2024 United States Open. Bublik reached the fourth round of the 2025 United States Open and 2026 Australian Open. Fritz and Bublik have beaten each other four times in their careers. Fritz won the last meeting, 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinals of Stuttgart in 2026.
(7) Coco Gauff–USA vs. (11) Belinda Bencic–SUI
Gauff is a two-time grand slam champion (2023 United States Open and 2025 French Open). Bencic reached the semifinals of the United States Open in 2019 and Wimbledon in 2025. Gauff has won five of seven meetings all-time. In their last meeting, Gauff beat Bencic 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 in the 2026 Miami quarterfinals.
(10) Karolina Muchova–CZE vs. Barbora Krejcikova–CZE
In an all-Czech battle, Karolina Muchova, the 2023 French Open finalist, will face Barbora Krejcikova, the 2021 French Open champion and 2024 Wimbledon champion. Krejcikova has beaten Muchova in two of three matches, with all three matches happening on clay.
Grigor Dimitrov–BUL vs. Arthur Fery–GB
Dimitrov is a three-time grand slam semifinalist (2014 Wimbledon, 2017 Australian Open and 2019 United States Open). Fery reached the quarterfinals of Queen’s. This is their first ever meeting head-to-head.
