Three-way tie after round one of 2024 Evian Masters

There is a three-way tie after the first round of the 2024 Evian Masters in France. Those golfers tied for first place are Gemma Dryburgh of Eberdeen, Scotland (the 2022 Toto Japan Classic winner), Ingrid Lindblad of Halmstad, Sweden, and 2021 ANA Inspiration winner Patty Tavatanakit of Bangkok, Thailand.
Dryburgh had seven birdies and zero bogeys. She birdied the second, seventh, 11th, 12th, 13th, 17th, and 18th holes. Lindblad and Tavatanakit had seven birdies and zero bogeys as well. Lingblad birdied the first, second, third, sixth, seventh, 16th, and 18th holes. Tavatanakit birdied the first, fifth, 10th, 12th, 13th, 17th, and 18th holes.
There is a six-way tie for fourth place at -6. There you find Hye-jin Choi of Gimhae, South Korea, Ayaka Furue of Kobe, Japan, 2014 Evian Masters champion Hyo-joo Kim of Wonju, South Korea, 2015 Evian Championship winner and 2016 Ana Inspiration winner Lydia Ko of Seoul, South Korea, Lauren Coughlin of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Gaby Lopez of Mexico City, Mexico.
Five more golfers are at -5 and two strokes back of the leaders in 10th place. There you can find Rio Takeda of Japan, Hae-Ran Ryu of Seoul, South Korea, Madelene Sagstrom of Uppsala, Sweden, Stephanie Kyriacou of Sydney, Australia, and Anne Van Dam of Arnhem, Netherlands.
Finally, there is a three-way battle for 15th place. At -4 and three strokes back of the three leaders are Ryann O’Toole of Agoura Hills, California, Emily Kristine Pedersen of Copenhagen, Denmark and Pajaree Anannarukarn of Bangkok.
This is the first of two significant women’s golf events in France over the next month. From August 7-10, the women’s golf event at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris will take place.
