The Plunge’s Trial Review: Horses You Must Follow From Last Week’s Trials 30/7

As some of the countries top horses begin to return to work, I have run my eye over this week’s Sydney trials and spotted a couple of well bred colts that are looking to establish themselves amongst the countries top 3yos this spring.

Home Affairs

This year’s Silver Slipper winner looks to have returned in fine order after taking out the morning’s only Group and Listed trial by 0.76L. The flashy bay colt took up the running and held a quality field out and looked to have plenty in the tank.

When To Bet

This guy will be looking to establish himself as one of the best 3yos in the country when the spring carnival kicks off. He will likely have another trial to give us a guide of how well he is going.

Remarque

I have been a huge fan of this guy since he came onto the scene as a 2yo last prep winning on debut before failing to gain a start in the Golden Slipper through the Todman Stakes. He looks to be flying winning his second trial this week after giving the leader a fair start before gathering him with ease inside the 200m.

When To Bet

He is another that will be set for the big 3yo races like the Golden Rose.
