The Plunge’s Saturday Review: Horses You Must Follow From Rosehill 27/3

A Melbourne raider that looks set to win a black type race and a sensational Slipper runner up are my two horses to follow from the weekend.

The Plunge’s Service Results:
  • +28.2 units of profit since December
  • 39 bets: 12 wins /9 placings

Odeum

  • Race 1
  • Distance 1200m
  • Class: Listed Darby Munro Stakes 3yo Set Weights

After displaying some strong Melbourne form, Odeum stepped out for the first time in Sydney and was only narrowly defeated by the talented Isotope. The Mick Price and Michael Price filly put 2 lengths on the 3rd horse and I think the form from this one will hold up.

When To Bet

Assuming Isotope is going to chase some bigger races, I think the G3 PJ Bell Stakes at Randwick in fortnight’s time looks like a great race where she will be up against her own age and sex.

Anamoe

  • Race: 7
  • Distance: 1200m
  • Class: G1 Golden Slipper

Anamoe had the odds stacked against him in the Slipper after drawing barrier 16 on a track that was playing relatively fair. Rachel King was forced to go back to the rear from the gate and no one missed the massive run down the outside to claim 2nd place in the world’s richest 2yo race. With an even barrier he may well of been close enough to win.

When To Bet

1400m in the G1 Sires Produce in a fortnight’s time looks perfect for this Street Boss colt.
