Randwick Race 3 – De Grawin

De Grawin is a mare we cashed in with twice last preparation and she looks to have found a winnable Saturday race here. Ignore her 1st up 11th at Rosehill where she ran up the back of heels and faded in the straight.

Her 2nd up record reads 2:1-1-0 after two impressive trial performances a month back and her wet track record is equally impressive 6:4-1-0.

The current race favourite is the fast starting Malkovich who always runs under the odds due to his racing pattern but I think the market has over estimated his ability to run well on wet tracks. De Grawin looks a great bet at $9.

Eagle Farm Race 8 – I Am Superman

I Am Superman represents great value in a wide open Stradbroke. The Snowden entire arrives in Queensland on the back of an impressive 3L trial win at Randwick. He rounded out his autumn campaign with a disappointing 12th in the G1 All Aged at Randwick. Before that he won the G2 Ajax Stakes at Rosehill, form that is strong enough for this.

I love the fact the Kerrin McEvoy has stuck solid for his last 5 runs at the races and trials. The $23 on offer is too tempting.
