Steven Fisk of Atlanta, Georgia won the 2025 Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi on Sunday. Fisk posted a winning score of -24 and beat Garrick Higgo of South Africa by two strokes.
Fisk moved up 92 spots in the Official World Golf Rankings with the win. He was 183rd in the world. Now he is 91st.
The win for Fisk was a surprise. His odds of winning this past weekend were +10000. In 2025,  Fisk had participated in 22 PGA events, and missed the cut nine times. His previous best result was a fourth place result at the 2025 Puerto Rico Open, a tournament Fisk posted a four  round score of -19, and was seven strokes back of champion Karl Vilips of Perth, Australia.
Fisk began the tournament in Mississippi on Thursday with a first round score of two-under-par 70. That was followed by a second round score of seven-under-par 65, a third round score of seven-under-par 65, and a fourth round score of eight-under-par 64.
In the final 36 holes, Fisk only had one bogey. That came in the fourth round on Sunday on the par three fourth hole. Fisk had seven birdies and zero bogeys in the third round on Saturday, and birdied the final three holes in the fourth round on Sunday.
Higgo was the leader after round three. He was looking for his third PGA tournament title after winning the 2021 Palmetto Championship and the 2025 Corales Puntacana Championship. However despite a strong finish like Fisk where he had four straight birdies on the back nine (13th, 14th, 15th and 16th), Higgo only parred the last two holes (17th and 18th holes) and bogeyed the sixth, 10th and 11th holes.
