RACING TIPS: Warwick Farm Best Selection & Value Play 4/1

Midweek Sydney racing heads to Warwick Farm on Wednesday. Our analyst has selected a Waller mare that looks likely to improve 2nd up and a Waterhouse/Bott 3yo debuting on the back of a big trial win as the value play.

Best Selection: R7- Concordia Wind

The Waller mare looks set to fire 2nd up with J Mac returning to the saddle after a terrific 0.2L 3rd over 1250m at Kensington 1st up. She settled last from the outside gate and had become detached from the field after the first furlong. She took an inside run in inferior going at the top of the straight and was still 4-5L off with 200m to go. She caught the eye jumping out of the ground the final 100m and only just missed on the line to finish 0.2L 3rd. The step up to 1400m with added fitness looks like a fantastic set up.

Value Selection: R2 – Written In Wrath

The Waterhouse/Bott 3yo looks worth being with at decent odds on debut after settling 2nd in a 1050m Randwick trial and showing a terrific turn of foot when shaken up at the 200m to charge away for a dominant 4.7L victory.
