The G1 Golden Rose headlines a massive day of racing at Rosehill. I analyst provides his tip for the feature as well as a $7.5 value play to end the day.

Best Selection: R8- Tempted
Tempted looks the horse to beat in this year’s Golden Rose with Gate 8 the only real area of concern. She couldn’t of been more impressive settling midfield and reeling off a terrific final 600m to score a 1.5L win eased down in the G2 Run to the Rose. She sweated up and presented like she would improve from the run in the yard, which adds more merit to the win.
Ethan Brown is the man to get the job done from the sticky gate but there isn’t a whole lot of speed drawn underneath her so she could easily land 1-2 pairs back and one off, which would be perfect.
Value Selection: R10- Roselyn’s Star
I like Roselyn’s Star here 3rd up on a dry track and with a better gate. He’s had excuses in regards to both of those things in 2 runs this prep but should be peaking 3rd up off a 71-week break. His tick over trial since was outstanding. He settled outside the lead and made a decent field looks quite average recording a 1.1L win under a strong hold. He ran the quickest 1050m time of the morning, 0.01s quicker than the highly rated Beadman.
