Rockets vs Lakers 10:30am AEST

More than happy to back this again. I wrote last time that he would get his shots and it’ll just be a matter of making them, and thats how it turned out but unfortunately on the wrong side of things. He went just 1-5, with all 5 attempts coming on either open or wide open looks.

  • KCP over 1.5 3’s @ 1.85 with TAB – 1 unit

Dominated the glass in game 1 with 14 rebounds but interestingly was only able to grab 2 offensive boards, an area Rockets obvious struggle due to their lack of size. It’s a clear advantage for Davis and the Lakers so expect him to be more aggressive in that area. In round 1 against Portland, Dwight/McGee averaged 32.1 minutes per game and its very obvious they won’t get near that in this series with AD playing a lot more 5. One game sample but just 23:48 for Dwight/McGee in G1, and could be less in G2. When Davis plays centre, his rebounding percentage jumps from 15% up to 16.6% and averages 11.1 boards per 36 up from 9.8. Dimes have been pretty consistent for him and he’s flashed some big upside.

  • Davis over 14.5 Rebounds + Assists @ 1.77 with Beteasy – 1 unit

Had a few things go his way in his return, with Caruso getting into foul trouble and then playing some garbage time which allowed him to get up to 24:32. He had an absurd usage rate at 22.8% which is way too high for a player of his calibre when he has either Lebron or AD next to him. He still didn’t cover this line, and it was also only the 2nd time in his last 12 outings where he’s hit multiple 3’s.

  • Rondo under 15.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists @ 1.88 with Beteasy – 1 unit

Once again I think we are getting a great price on the Rockets here. It is such an awkward matchup for the Lakers. As mentioned previously, I love betting the Rockets as dogs and can do it even more confidently now they have stepped up their defence, as they can hang around in games for longer periods even if their shots aren’t dropping. So much talk about this Lakers defence – which has been great – but this Rockets offence is even better. They managed to generate a whopping 23 open 3 pointers in game 1 (only hitting 8 of them) which is a huge difference compared to the Blazers who only managed 11.1 per game. Lakers offence should be a bit better, but more than happy to take the points again here.

  • Rockets +5.5 @ 1.92 with Beteasy – 1 unit
  • Rockets ML @ 3.05 with B365 – 0.5 units

Under 223.5 looks like a good bet too.
