Lakers vs Rockets 9:00am AEST
In a game void of much value, happy to take what looks to be the wrong price about Gordon here. 2.5 is the right line but I would have expect the usual 1.90 mark so happy to take the 2.35. He’s covered this line in 7 of the 10 playoff games, averaging 3.3 dimes per 36 (locked into 36ish minute rotation). He’s often the first pass out of the double team on Harden and with Lakers defence quick to rotate to him, will occasionally have an open guy one more pass away. His potentials have come up over his last couple, with 16 total across the 2 games.
- Gordon over 2.5 Assists @ 2.35 – 0.75 units
Story of the playoffs so far with Davis crushing the line after we jump off. His brutal second half in G2 – had 10 RA at HT, finished with 14 playing the whole half at centre – really turned me off but he came out with such a strong performance in G3 with 14/6 I can go back to him here. Rockets are doing a good job taking away easy buckets for him with 0 fast break points so would rather just play the RA line again here. With Markeiff on the floor, Davis’ rebounding percentage jumps from 15% right up to 24.1% (small sample) which translates to 18.8 rebounds per 36. Had already written this play up before Markeiff news broke, but am more confident now.
- Davis over 15.5 Rebounds + Assists @ 1.83 with Sportsbet/B365 – 1 unit
There’s a noticeable trend in this series with the 3 first halves totalling 125,118,118 played at a 97.67 pace before dropping down to a sluggish 92.67 in the second half with totals of 89,108,91. Not sure the best way to play this or if it’s worth playing at all, but can get odds of 6.25 for over 113.5 1st half / under 218.5 total points SGM on sportsbet which might be worth 0.2 to win a unit.Â
