Wests Tigers journey to Wollongong for Round 14 opener

Round 14 opens with the Wests Tigers travelling down to WIN Stadium on Friday night in a bid to snap their eight-game losing streak against the Dragons.

Shane Flanagan has named the same 17 that downed the Panthers last week although Origin stars Ben Hunt, Jaydn Su’A, and Zac Lomax have been named among the reserves and may back up just 48 hours after the big one.

David Klemmer (suspension), Isaiah Papali’i (ankle), Jake Simpkin (signed with Manly), Declan Casey and Josh Feledy all drop out for the visitors.

Justin Olam (suspension) returns with Brent Naden, Sione Fainu, and debutant Reuben Porter all coming onto the bench whilst Charlie Staines moves into the centres and Alex Lobb comes onto the wing.

The Dragons have won four of their past five against Wests Tigers who have lost five from six away from home this season.

Titans host Rabbitohs in Saturday showdown

The Titans and Rabbitohs – both fresh off a bye – face off at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday afternoon looking to make a climb up the ladder

Kieran Foran (hamstring), Phillip Sami (hamstring), and Jojo Fifita (pec) all return for the hosts whilst Jayden Campbell (knee) has been listed among the reserves.

Tony Francis (shoulder) and Tom Weaver are the men to make way whilst Origin star Moeaki Fotuaika has been named to start in the front row with Beau Fermor and Klese Haas shifting to the back row.

Cody Walker (calf) and Richie Kennar (knee) are back for the Rabbits with Dion Teaupa dropping out and Michael Chee Kam shifting into the second row to replace Jacob Host.

The Rabbitohs have won nine in a row against the Titans and have not lost to them on the Gold Coast since 2009.

Cowboys look to extend unbeaten run vs. Warriors

The Cowboys will be eyeing a fourth-straight win when they meet the Warriors on Saturday evening at QCB Stadium.

There is plenty of uncertainty surrounding the Cowboys lineup with all six of their Origin stars named on an extended bench.

Sam McIntyre has been named to start at hooker with Jake Granville (biceps) missing whilst Tom Chester (hamstring) has been named among the reserves.

In a major boost for the Warriors, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad (illness), Wayde Egan (head knock), Rocco Berry (hand), Addin Fonua-Blake (stood down), Kurt Capewell (calf) and Tohu Harris (wrist) have all been named to return.

Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is back on the wing, Mitch Barnett and Marata Niukore are the second rowers, and Jackson Ford starts up front.

The Warriors have won five of their past seven clashes against the Cowboys.

Sharks looking to steady ship at Suncorp

Having conceded 106 points across their past three outings, the Sharks will be eager to patch things up when they face the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night.

All four of Brisbane’s Origin stars have been named to start whilst Kotoni Staggs (ribs) returns to the centres in place of rookie Josiah Karapani.

Nicho Hynes has not been named to back up for Cronulla although Cameron McInnes has.

Teig Wilton (shoulder) and Braden Hamlin-Uele are both missing for the visitors with Siosifa Talakai starting on the edge and Tuku Hau Tapuha coming onto the pine.

The Broncos have won nine of their past 11 against the Sharks and five from seven at Suncorp this year.

Ladder-leading Storm face Knights at AAMI

The Storm are back at AAMI Park on Sunday afternoon to face the Knights who will be looking to bounce back after being held try-less a week ago.

Harry Grant and Xavier Coates have both been named to back up for Melbourne although Will Warbrick (groin) is out pushing Grant Anderson onto the wing and Bronson Garlick onto the bench.

Adam O’Brien has named the same 17 that went down to the Dogs in Round 13.

The Storm have won 15 of their past 17 in Melbourne whilst the Knights have not won there since 2015.

Panthers take on Sea Eagles at foot of mountains

Penrith and Manly will do battle at BlueBet Stadium on Sunday afternoon in a Top 8 showdown.

Brian To’o, Jarome Luai, Liam Martin, Isaah Yeo, Luke Garner and Dylan Edwards have all been named among the reserves for the Panthers.

Jack Cole is set to partner Luai in the halves whilst Luke Garner returns onto the bench and Moses Leota has been named despite picking up a hamstring issue in Round 13.

Daly Cherry-Evans, Jake Trbojevic, and Haumole Olakau’atu have all been named to back up from Origin for Manly whilst Toluta’u Koula and Toafofoa Siple return.

The Panthers have won eight of their past nine against the Sea Eagles and have not lost back-to-back games at BlueBet since 2019.

Dogs host Eels in Monday blockbuster

One of the clashes of the week comes on Monday afternoon when the Bulldogs come up against the Eels at Accor Stadium.

Josh Addo-Carr (hamstring) is out for the hosts, but Stephen Crichton and Matt Burton have both been named to back up with Jacob Kiraz shifting back to the wing and Drew Hutchison dropping out.

Bailey Simonsson (knee) is set to miss the rest of the season with Blaize Talagi starting in the centres in his place and Sean Russell shifting to the wing whilst J’maine Hopgood has been named to back up from Origin.

The Eels have won eight of their past nine against the Bulldogs although Cameron Ciraldo’s men are undefeated at home this season.
