Nine other notable players dealt on NBA Trade Deadline Day

The 2022-23 NBA Trade Deadline took place on Thursday. Obviously the two biggest names dealt at the deadline were Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. However, there were several other notable moves. Here are nine players who averaged a minimum of 10.0 points per game this season, who were traded.
9) Jalen McDaniels–Philadelphia 76ers
The small forward from Federal Way, Washington was in a three-way deal involving the 76ers, Charlotte Hornets and Portland Trail Blazers. McDaniels went from Charlotte to Philadelphia. Shooting guard Matisse Thybulle went from Philadelphia to Portland. Svi Mykhailiuk and two draft picks went from Portland to Charlotte.
McDaniels is averaging 10.6 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, and two assists per game. He has a field goal percentage of .447, three point percentage of .322, and free throw percentage of .846.
8) John Wall-Houston Rockets
Wall, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina was in a three way deal involving the Rockets, Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers. The five-time All-Star with Washington previously played for Houston in 2020-21. In 34 games with the Clippers in 2022-23, he had 11.4 points per game, 5.2 assists per game, and 2.7 rebounds per game. Wall, a point guard, had a field goal percentage of .408, three-point percentage of .303, and free throw percentage of .681.

7) Josh Richardson–New Orleans Pelicans
Richardson, a native of Edmond, Oklahoma, was traded from the San Antonio Spurs to the Pelicans for Devonte’ Graham and four second round picks. The Pelicans are Richardson’s sixth team. In addition to the Spurs, he has played with the Miami Heat, 76ers, Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics. In 42 games with the Spurs, the shooting guard had 11.5 points per game, 3.3 assists per game, and 2.8 rebounds per game. Richardson had a field goal percentage of .436, three-point percentage of .357, and a free throw percentage of .883.
4) Jakob Poeltl–Toronto Raptors
Poeltl, a native of Vienna, Austria, is returning to the Raptors after playing in Toronto from 2016 to 2018. In 2022-23 with the Spurs, he has 12.1 points per game, nine rebounds per game, 3.1 assists per game, a field goal percentage of .616 and a free throw percentage of .605. Poeltl, a center, was traded from the Spurs to the Raptors for center Khem Birch, a first round pick in 2024, a second round pick in 2023, and a second round pick in 2025.
4) Bones Hyland–Los Angeles Clippers
Hyland, a native of Wilmington, Delaware, who was on the NBA All-Rookie team a year ago, was traded from the Denver Nuggets to the Clippers for a second round pick in 2024 and 2025. In 2022-23, the guard is averaging 12.1 points per game, three assists per game, and two rebounds per game. Hyland has a field goal percentage of .399, three-point percentage of .378, and a free throw percentage of .866.
4) Thomas Bryant–Denver Nuggets
Bryant, a native of Rochester, New York was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Nuggets for Davon Reed and a second round pick in 2025, 2026 and 2029. The Nuggets will be Bryant’s third team following four seasons with the Washington Wizards and two seasons with the Lakers. In 2022-23, the center is averaging 12.1 points per game, 6.8 rebounds per game, a field goal percentage of .654, three-point percentage of .440, and a free throw percentage of .741. While with the Wizards in 2018-19. Bryant led the NBA with a .685 two-point percentage.
3) Mason Plumlee–Los Angeles Clippers
Plumlee, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana was traded from the Hornets to the Clippers for Reggie Jackson. The veteran center is having a career year, as he is averaging 12.2 points per game, 9.7 rebounds per game, and 3.7 assists per game, all career-highs. He also has a field goal percentage of .669 and a free throw percentage of .605. Plumlee previously played for the Brooklyn Nets, Trail Blazers, Nuggets, Detroit Pistons and Hornets.
2) Eric Gordon–Los Angeles Clippers
Gordon, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, was involved in the aforementioned John Wall trade. In the deal, the Clippers got Gordon, a shooting guard, from the Rockets and three second round draft picks. The Rockets got Wall from the Clippers, and Danny Green from the Grizzlies, and the Grizzlies got Luke Kennard from the Clippers. Gordon previously played for the Clippers, Pelicans and Rockets. He originally played for Los Angeles from 2008 to 2011. In 2022-23, Gordon is averaging 13.1 points per game, 2.9 assists per game and 2.1 rebounds per game, along with a field goal percentage of .439, three-point percentage of .347, and a free throw percentage of .815.
1) Saddiq Bey–Atlanta Hawks
Bey, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, was involved in a four-way trade that involved the Hawks, Golden State Warriors, Pistons and Trail Blazers. Bey, a small forward, went from Detroit to Atlanta. The Warriors acquire Gary Payton II from the Trail Blazers and five second round draft picks. The Pistons acquire James Wiseman from the Warriors, and the Trail Blazers acquire Kevin Knox from the Pistons and five second round draft picks.
Bey is averaging 14.8 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, and 1.6 assists per game. He has a field goal percentage of .404, three-point percentage of .345, and a free-throw percentage of .861.
