Top five rookies from Week 11 of the 2022 NFL season
November 23, 2022
The 11th week of the National Football League is now complete. Here are the top five offensive rookies on winning teams from the week that was.
5) Tyler Allgeier–Atlanta Falcons
The native of Fontana, California was the Falcons’ fifth round draft in the 2022 NFL Draft out of BYU. On Sunday, Allgeier had eight rushes for 55 yards and one catch for nine yards as the Atlanta Falcons beat the Chicago Bears 27-24. With the Falcons focusing on the running game, expect Allgeier to get a lot of carries down the stretch even though he is generally the Falcons backup running back behind Cordarelle Patterson.
4) James Cook–Buffalo Bills
Dalvin’s brother is starting to get carries in Buffalo. On Sunday he had 11 carries for a career-high 86 yards, as the Bills went into Detroit as the home team because of the crappy weather in Buffalo, and beat the Cleveland Browns 31-23. With the win, the Bills went into a first place tie with the Miami Dolphins in the AFC East. Both teams are 7-3.
3) Isiah Pacheco–Kansas City Chiefs
The native of Vineland, New Jersey reached the century mark in rushing yards for the first time in his career on Sunday night. Pacheco had 15 carries for a career-high 107 yards as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 30-27. The Chiefs have the best team in the AFC at eight wins and two losses.
2) Treylon Burks–Tennessee Titans
The Titans not only had a phenomenal game from running back Derrick Henry, but wide receiver Treylon Burks of Warren, Arkansas too. On Thursday night at Lambeau Field, Burks had seven catches for 111 yards as the Tennessee Titans defeated the Green Bay Packers 27-17. After a slow start, the Titans have now won seven of eight games, and now lead the AFC South with a record of seven wins and three losses.
1) Chris Olave–New Orleans Saints
The native of San Ysidro, California had five catches for 102 yards as the New Orleans Saints beat the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams 27-20. One of Olave’s catches was a 53-yard touchdown catch from Andy Dalton.
