NFL Weekly Preview Week 6 2024: Key Injuries, Difference Makers & Projected Upsets

We are headed into the sixth week of the season. Here are the key injuries, fantasy stars and projected upsets.

Key Injuries

Heading into week six there are several players across the entire league who are questionable. However there are fseveral players in the NFL who have already been classified as out. They are Pittsburgh Steelers running back Cordarrelle Patterson of Rock Hill, South Carolina (ankle), Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman of Bakersfield, California (back), San Francisco 49ers kicker Jake Moody of Commerce Charter Township, Michigan (ankle), Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins of Pinson, Alabama (hamstring), Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Christian Wilkins of Springfield, Massachusetts (broken foot), and New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr of Bakersfield, California (oblique). The most notable injury is Collins, who leads the NFL with 567 receiving yards and 113.4 yards per game.

Fantasy Stars

The top rated quarterback of the week is Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens. The native of Pompano Beach, Florida is projected to get 230 yards passing, 55 yards rushing and two touchdowns against the Washington Commanders.

The top rated wide receiver of the week is Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals. The native of Harvey, Louisiana is projected to get six catches for 79 receiving yards and one touchdown against the New York Giants in primetime on Sunday night.

The top rated running back of the week is Derrick Henry of the Ravens. The native of Yulee, Florida is projected to get 17 rushes for 89 rushing yards and one touchdown, as well as one catch for nine receiving yards.

Projected Upset

With the Colts banged up at wide receiver, and the Titans having more time to prepare, I am predicting Tennessee to upset Indianapolis in week six. Right now the Colts are a one point favourite.
