We begin the fourth week of the 2025 NFL regular season on Thursday. Here are the key injuries, fantasy stars and projected upsets.
Key Injuries
For the second straight week there were some significant injuries in week three. Those out long term include San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa of Fort Lauderdale, Florida (done for the season with a torn ACL), Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb of Opelousas, Louisiana (four to six weeks with a high ankle sprain), Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans of Galveston, Texas (three to four weeks with a strained left hamstring), Los Angeles Chargers running back Najee Harris of Martinez, California (done for the season with a torn Achilles), and Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (out for the season with a foot injury).
Fantasy Stars
The top rated quarterback is Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills. Â The native of Firebaugh, California is set to have 236 yards passing, 37 yards rushing and two touchdowns for the Bills against the New Orleans Saints. The top rated wide receiver is George Pickens of the Dallas Cowboys. He is projected to get seven catches for 97 receiving yards and a touchdown on Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers. The top rated running back is Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers. The native of Castle Rock, Colorado is projected to get 113 total yards and a touchdown on Sunday when San Francisco plays Jacksonville.
Projected Upsets
Last week I liked five underdogs, but only the Carolina Panthers. This week I like the Seattle Seahawks, Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs. I am still not sold on the Vikings. They won last week because of the plethora of Cincinnati mistakes. I like the Chiefs as the Ravens are playing on a short week.
