NBA Preview: March 17

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all our readers. Here are the three teams we like the most. It should come as no surprise that one team we like is the NBA’s most Irish team, the Boston Celtics.

Washington Wizards @ Cleveland Cavaliers–7:30 PM ET

The Cavaliers are fourth in the East at 44 wins and 28 losses. The Wizards are 10th in the East at 32 wins and 37 losses.

My Take:

The Cavaliers are 9-1 in their last 10 games against teams below .500. They are also 28-8 at home, while the Wizards are 16-20 on the road. That is why you take the Cavaliers at -5.5. I also like the under here at 219.5. In the last two Wizards games they have been involved in contests of 205 and 214 total points respectively.

Boston Celtics @ Portland Trail Blazers–10 PM ET

The Celtics are second in the East at 48 wins and 22 losses. The Trail Blazers are 13th in the East 31 wins and 38 losses.

My Take:

I know the Trail Blazers are better at home (17-16) than on the road (14-22), but the Celtics are a great road team at 22-13. Even if Jayson Tatum is unable to play with a hip injury, the Celtics still have Jaylen Brown, who is averaging 26.8 points per game. How could you not pick the Celtics? It is St. Patrick’s Day! Go with the Celtics at -4.5, and the under of 230. Boston only gives up 112.2 points per game. Join Our Championships Competition Members Can View Hub Here

Dallas Mavericks @ Los Angeles Lakers–10:30 PM ET

The Lakers are at 34 wins and 36 losses. The Mavericks are at 35 wins and 35 losses.

My Take:

The Lakers are without LeBron James (foot injury), while the Mavericks are without Luka Doncic (thigh strain). I know the Lakers lost their last game 114-110 to the Houston Rockets, but having Anthony Davis back will be a big help. We also do not know if Mavericks star Kyrie Irving will be in the lineup, as like James, is battling a foot injury. Take the Lakers at -5.5, and the under at 230.5, as the Lakers and Mavericks will not have their A lineup.
