NBA Preview: January 27
January 27, 2023
The National Basketball Association is wrapping up the first month of the 2023 calendar year. Here are the three teams I like on January 27.
Milwaukee Bucks @ Indiana Pacers–7 PM ET
The Bucks have a record of 31 wins and 17 losses and are in third in the Eastern Conference behind Boston and Philadelphia. Indiana is ninth in the East at 24 wins and 26 losses.
My Take:
Milwaukee has scored 257 points in their last two wins. Their offense is running on all cylinders, so take the Bucks at this time. For that reason take the over of +236 as well.

The Cavaliers are fifth in the East at 30 wins and 20 losses. The Thunder are 11th in the West at 23 wins and 25 losses.
My Take:
Oklahoma City is 14-10 at home, while Cleveland is 10-15 on the road. I like the Thunder here as the Cavaliers are on their second game of a back-to-back. Take Oklahoma City at +4.5 and the over at 218.5. The Thunder have been involved in more than 218.5 points in three of their last four games. Toronto Raptors @ Golden State Warriors–10 PM ET
The Raptors are 12th in the East at 22 wins 27 losses. The Warriors are eighth in the West at 24 wins and 24 losses.
My Take:
The Warriors are the obvious choice here. Golden State has a record of 18 wins and six losses at home despite being at the .500 mark. Toronto meanwhile only has a record of seven wins and 15 losses on the road. Take Golden State at -5.5. Yes, the Raptors won their last game on the road by a score of 113-95 in Sacramento on Wednesday, but it will be surprising to see these Raptors put two consecutive excellent games on the road. Also take the over at 229.5. The Raptors won’t be able to stop the high powered Golden State offense.
