NBA Preview: February 6

It is not often we pick three road teams on a single day. However these are the three teams we are going with as we settle into the month of February.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Washington Wizards–7 PM ET

The Cavaliers are at 33 wins and 22 losses and fifth in the East. The Wizards are at 24 wins and 28 losses and 10th in the East.

My Take:

Cleveland has won three of their last four games, with wins over the Clippers, Grizzlies and Pacers in the process. The Cavs are playing strong basketball lately because of the offensive prowess of Darius Garland, who had had 56 points in the last two games. I like Cleveland here at -2.5. The Wizards have been involved in games with more than 220.5 points in their last three games, so take the over. Join Our Championships Competition Members Can View Hub Here

Los Angeles Clippers @ Brooklyn Nets-7:30 PM ET

The Clippers are fourth in the West at 30 wins and 26 losses, and the Nets are fourth in the East at 32 wins and 20 losses.

My Take:

Even though the Nets have the better record, expect a bit of transition time for the Nets after their blockbuster deal involving all-star Kyrie Irving on Sunday. The Clippers are coming off an impressive 134-128 OT win over the New York Knicks on Saturday where they got a combined total of 65 points from Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Take the Clippers at -6.5 and the over at 218. The Nets will be challenged defensively until this new Brooklyn squad gels.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Golden State Warriors–10 PM ET

Not much is separating Oklahoma City and Golden State at the moment. The Warriors are 27-26 (eighth in the West). The Thunder are 25-27 (12th in the West).

My Take:

I like OKC here at +5 as the Warriors are without the services of Stephen Curry indefinitely due to ligament damage in his leg. Take the over at 242.5 as the Warriors can still shoot extremely well even without their star point guard. Join Our Championships Competition Members Can View Hub Here
