NBA Preview: February 24
February 25, 2023
The NBA season will be busy for the next while as teams return from the All-Star break and play a full schedule. Here are three teams we like to win tonight.
Cleveland Cavaliers @ Atlanta Hawks–7:30 PM ET
The Cavaliers are fourth in the East at 38 wins and 24 losses and the Hawks are eighth in the East at 29 wins and 30 losses.
My Take:
The Cavaliers will face a period of adjustment now after Kevin Love’s contract was bought out and he subsequently signed with the Miami Heat. The Hawks will also have an adjustment as during their break they fired head coach Nate McMillan. I like Atlanta here at -1, as they are a better team at home (15-12) than Cleveland is on the road (13-17). I also like the over at 227.5 as the Cavaliers may take some time in adjusting their defense without Love’s rebounding impact coming off the bench. Miami Heat @ Milwaukee Bucks–7:30 PM ET
The Bucks are second in the East at 41-17, and the Heat are seventh in the East at 32-27.
My Take:
Almost always you take the Bucks here as they have won 12 straight and have Giannis Antetokounmpo. However with Antetokounmpo doubtful with a wrist injury, I like Miami tonight at +2. Also take the under at 224.5 because Milwaukee might have difficulty being in sync without their star.

The Suns are fifth in the West at 32 wins and 28 losses and the Thunder are 11th in the West at 28 wins and 30 losses.
My Take:
Now that we know Kevin Durant won’t play for the Suns until March 1, Phoenix will not be as strong. That is why I like the Thunder here at +7.5. Also take the under at 230.5. That is because the Suns have been involved in games with fewer than 231 points in their last seven contests. Join Our Championships Competition Members Can View Hub Here
