LIV Golf Tour sets its 2023 schedule
August 1, 2022
The LIV Golf Tour, who has Australian golf legend Greg Norman as the chief executive officer, has announced its 2023 golf schedule. According to the Associated Press, there will be 14 tournaments next season, an increase from the eight events in 2022. We do not know at this time where the events will be.
There are also plans for an expanded relationship between the LIV Tour and Asian Tour. Through this partnership, players are able to be promoted or relegated.

The expanded schedule for next year was announced as the LIV Tour has a controversial stop at the Trump National in Bedminster, New Jersey this weekend. The LIV has formed a relationship with Trump at a time when the PGA of America has tried to disassociate themselves with Trump for political reasons.  The PGA of America announced the 2022 PGA Championship would no longer occur in Bedminster, New Jersey on January 10, 2021 as the former president of the United States did not make a comment when people rioted the Capitol Building in Washington when he was still the American President at the time. The event was later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma with the Southern Hills Country Club as the host site. The 2022 PGA Championship was won by Justin Thomas of Louisville, Kentucky.
There have been two LIV Tour events so far. They have both been won by South Africans. At the LIV Golf Invitational in London in June, 2011 Masters champion Charl Schwartzel placed first. Then at the 2022 LIV Golf Invitational in Portland, Oregon in July, Branden Grace was number one.
