NFL wide receiver Brandin Cooks ties NFL record for most times being traded

According to Bryan DeArdo of CBS Sports on Sunday, Brandin Cooks of Stockton, California has tied the National Football League record for most number of times traded all-time with four. Cooks made NFL history by being traded on Sunday from the Houston Texans to the Dallas Cowboys for a fifth round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and a sixth round draft pick in the 2024 NFL Draft according to Pro Football Reference.
Cooks was previously traded from the New Orleans Saints with a fourth round draft pick to the New England Patriots for a first and third round pick on March 10, 2017. Hw was then traded from the Patriots to the Los Angeles Rams with a fourth round pick for for a first round pick and a sixth round pick on April 4, 2018. Finally, Cooks was traded from the Rams to the Texans with a fourth round pick for a second round pick on April 9, 2020. This pst season with the Texans, Cooks had 57 catches for 699 yards and three touchdowns.

The only other National Football League player traded four times was Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson of Sealy, Texas. Dickerson was first traded from the Los Angeles Rams to the Indianapolis Colts in a gigantic three-way deal that also involved the Buffalo Bills on October 31, 1987. He was then traded from the Colts to the Los Angeles Raiders for a fourth and eighth round draft pick on April 26, 1992. That was followed by a deal that saw Dickerson traded from the Raiders to the Atlanta Falcons on July 7, 1993 for a sixth round draft pick, and then traded from the Falcons to the Green Bay Packers on October 13, 1993 for running back John Stephens (father of American tennis star Sloane Stephens, the 2017 United States Open champion).
