March 10, 2023

According to Rich Cimini of ESPN on Thursday, the New York Jets have acquired safety Chuck Clark of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens. In return, the Ravens will receive the seventh round pick in the 2024 National Football League draft.
Clark played 17 games with the Ravens in 2022. He has four pass deflections, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and 101 combined tackles (61 solo tackles and 40 assisted tackles). The forced fumble interestingly came in a 24-9 Ravens win over the Jets on September 11. It was Baltimore’s opening game of the 2022 National Football League regular season.
In Clark’s career, he has played in 96 games and has had five interceptions for 34 yards, and one pick six, 32 pass deflections, five forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries for 61 yards and one fumble recovery for a touchdown. Clark also has 3.5 sacks, 384 combined tackles (240 solo tackles and 144 assisted tackles), eight tackles for a loss, and eight quarterback hits. Clark’s fumble recovery for a touchdown was 65 yards and came in a 24-10 Baltimore win over the Indianapolis Colts on November 8, 2020.

Clark played his college football at Virginia Tech. He was the Ravens’s sixth round draft pick, 186th overall, in the 2017 NFL Draft. In all, he spent six seasons in Baltimore. In addition to playing safety, Clark has played defensive back.
There is also a hot rumour that the Jets could soon be acquiring a high-profile quarterback. It appears that the Jets might be signing future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers was the NFL most valuable player in 2011, 2014, 2020 and 2021.
