Giannis Antetokounmpo records his sixth career 50-point game

For the sixth time on Sunday, Giannis Antetokounmpo of Athens, Greece had a 50-point game. He accomplished the feat by scoring 50 points in a 135-110 win over the New Orleans Pelicans at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Antetokounmpo made 20 of 26 field goals, three of four three-point shots, and seven of 12 free throws. He had 13 rebound for a double-double, four assists, and was a +16.
According to ESPN, 30 of Antetokounmpo’s 50 points came in the paint. It was the 10th time in Antetokounmpo’s career that he had 30 points in the paint. Antetokounmpo’s five previous 50-point games came in a 130-125 Bucks loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on St. Patrick’s Day, 2019 (52 points), in a 122-118 Bucks win over the Utah Jazz on November 25, 2019 (50 points), in a 105-98 Bucks win over the Phoenix Suns in game six of the NBA Finals on July 20, 2021 (50 points), in a 128-119 Bucks win over the Indiana Pacers on February 15, 2022 (50 points), and in a 123-113 Bucks win over the Washington Wizards on January 3, 2023 (career-high 55 points).

On the season, Antetokounmpo is averaging a double-double. He is averaging 31.7 points per game and 12 rebounds per game. Antetokounmpo is also averaging 5.3 assists per game, and has a field goal percentage of .534, free throw percentage of .274, and a free throw percentage of .644.
