FREE: The Plunge’s Black Book: Horses Running At Randwick 2/4
April 1, 2022
The Sydney Championship’s officially kick of at Randwick tomorrow! I’ve opened up the black book and picked out a Godolphin Derby hopefully that was sensational in the Victorian edition in the spring and a Victorian raider out for Doncaster glory.

Randwick Race 7 – Alegron
Alegron has been far from convincing in two runs this prep over unsuitable distances but if in doubt I suggest doubters re-watch his run in the Victorian Derby in the spring. He was ridden upside down and was still a game 2nd. The Cummings camp have chosen to bring him to the Derby third-up off a 1600m trip and expect to see him improve sharply after he only showed his potential after getting out to 1800m last prep.

Randwick Race 9 – Just Folk
Just Folk steps up to Randwick’s biggest test over a mile undefeated with 3 wins from 3 heavy starts. His last start victory in the Ajax where he knocked off the in-form Ellsberg was impressive. He drops way down in weight to 50kg and should be a factor in what’s always a wide-open affair here.
