Saturday Metropolitan racing in Victoria heads to Flemington for 10 races with the first to commence at 12:25pm local time. The meeting is headlined by the group one Turnbull Stakes featuring the likes of Romantic Warrior, Gold Trip and Francesco Guardi.
The track is currently rated as a soft 6. Victorian’s are set for a moderate day with tops of 15 degrees! The weather isn’t hot enough over the next 48 hours for this track to dry out. Expect to be still playing on a soft track come race one.
The rail is out 9m for this meeting. Traditionally with the rail out 9m, Flemington plays very fairly with most horses getting their chance. As always, watch and assess.
