Rosehill Race 6 – Just Folk

Just Folk was scratched from the Doncaster Prelude on Saturday morning having already gained a start in the Doncaster. He is still nominated for Monday and while he will likely still be saved for Saturday, if connections choose to start I want to be on.

I was ultra impressed with the Sydney debut of Just Folk when the 5yo took down the in-form Ellsberg to claim the G2 Ajax Stakes over this track and distance. The pair gapped the 3rd horse which is a great form reference. This will be his final tune up before the G1 Doncaster and I believe he should be too good for these, if he can back that up, at a generous price.

Tip: 2 Units Win Just Folk @$6.5 with TopSport – BET NOW

Rosehill Race 9 – Maotai

Maotai is flying and looks like the bet of the day at Rosehill. He gets in very well at the weights stepping up to G3 company with only 53.5kg and front running specialist Tim Clark in the saddle. He streaked a BM78 field at Randwick a month ago leading from pillar to post and managed to run over a second quicker than star sprinter Paulele who ran earlier in the day.

Furthermore, he backed that performance up with a 10L trial win on Tuesday. Looks ready for the step up in grade.

Tip: 3 Units Win Maotai @$3 with TopSport – BET NOW
