Really like the prospects of this Steve Wolfe debutant in the opener. Has had the 2 trials to date, the first hit-out was solid and the most recent stepping out over the 1000m was very impressive. Got back in the heat, made a sustained run around them very wide on the course, really cruised up to them and loved how he responded when Tash got the whip out and really looked to be ripping away from them late, looks to have a motor.

Gets the Winkers on for the debut, if he can utilise the gate and position up better than midfield, very keen on his chances in a 2yo race that looks to lack any considerable depth.

Really like how this race sets up for Birdieagle here today from a soft draw. This horse thrives being allowed to settle tucked in behind the speed and that’s exactly what he looks like getting again here. Thought his run last Saturday in a 66+ behind Weaponson and Sentimental Hero was super given where he settled and had to make his run from. Drops back in grade, already a previous winner off the 7 day spin, he’s no star but he’s a very honest conveyance and looks like he will certainly measure up here with the run he looks to get in transit. Progressing nicely.
