We nailed the Chelsea v Man United to save what had been a tough week last week, but I am feeling really good about this week’s picks. As the season is going on I am feeling more and more comfortable about what these teams are.

Sheffield United v Southampton

Southampton are on a dismal run. Eight losses in nine have derailed what had been a positive season. I do not have much faith in Sheffield United overall, but at home and as underdogs against a team in such poor form I am happy to just take the value here.

Aston Villa v Wolves

Villa will be without Jack Grealish once again and I think both of these teams will struggle here. I expect a low scoring affair and the draw is really appealing in a game with two teams that just do not get on the scoresheet too often.

  • 1 unit Aston Villa/Wolves draw 3.1 with TopSport
  • 0.5 unit Aston Villa/Wolves correct score 0-0 7.5 with TopSport
  • 0.5 unit Aston Villa/Wolves correct score 1-1 5.3 with TopSport

Brighton v Leicester

Leicester were poor against Arsenal last time out but Brighton just keep on finding a way to lose. I say it almost every week but I really do rate Brighton highly as a team. They just lack a consistent goalscorer and it will be the reason they get relegated if they do. Leicester are superb value here and are just a better team overall.

  • 2 units Leicester 2.81 with TopSport

Man City v Man United

One of the biggest games of the season every season, the Manchester derby. I can only see this going one way though. City are just a machine right now and United’s form has really dropped off since they hit the top of the table around the start of the year. In these big games Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tends to sit back and play a lot more defensively. While they may be able to hold their neighbours for a little here, it is unlikely to last and we could see the floodgates open once they do.
